The Spring Harp Fest was founded in 1999 by Harmonica John Frazer and Budd Willis to promote the American art form of the blues harmonica. Every year, they hold a festival during Easter weekend, and some of Southern California's finest harmonica players perform at our Spring Harp Fest. People of all ages are invited to participate in the Unknown Players Jam.
The Spring Harp Fest is a family-friendly, outdoor event. This free festival is 100% funded by contributions from the local community and other donations from people like you. All of the the people that bring this event to the La Mesa community are volunteers. No one is paid, yet they have a great many expenses and need your help.
The Spring Harp Fest is afiliated with Blues Lovers United of San Diego, a non-profit organization ( http://www.BLUSD.org). Every year, the Spring Harp Fest promoters make a generous contribution of the proceeds from our fest to BLUSD's Blues in the Schools Program, specifically ear-marked for harmonica inclusion.
Hummingbird Enterprises will be donating 10% of all sales from this gallery to this noble organization.
